Re[2]: [OT] Windows 98 & Internet
I remember having to turn off the cable modem if I changed PC/network card,
but I'm sure there was no proprietary s/w required in Bedfordshire
otherwise my Smoothwall wouldn't have registered. As you say, though, YMMV.
We are not told whether this is a cable or dial up progblem, though.
