Sorted.... Thanks for this.
I had scanned the XBOX groups before and all I could see was people
saying it would be a good idea but that no one was going to develop it,
then it's there on my XBMC already !!!!
I should read the manual or play around with it a bit more....
I had to set my A/V timing to -0.80 it was set to 0.40 I think as a
default, I wonder if that is because of network delays this end...
I would still like to be able to create the CD+Gs so that when we visit
other 'Karaoke Fans' we can take our own compilations.... Plus my
parents bought me a machine for Christmas and I should use that from
time to time....

I dont know, it just works! I have the .cdg file there with the same
filename as
the .mp3 that goes with it.
In the settings-> my music there is an option there for the opacity of
the text
- perhaps its being set to 0% so its totally transparent?
Otherwise, perhaps your xbmc is just too old? I am running the 01/02/05
release
now, but it worked with at least the one before it, and I think the one
before
that too. I only had a reason to try it just before xmas
