X10 Status Reporting

Hi,

I'm in the middle of designing lighting automation for my hall/landing.
I'll be using a mixture of old and new x10 components. I'll also have
one of the popular PC packages (Homeseer/Harmony etc.) for macros but
which one isn't finalised yet. I intend to extend it to cover other
rooms using the new HDM1 when I get a chance.

I'd like to be able to indicate that a macro/automation was running such
as automatic lighting changes when I'm out. The best idea I've had so
far is to use a clipsal neon connected to an AWM2 appliance micromodule
and have the neon(s) indicating that the macro is running.

Anyone got any other simple cheap ideas that are reasonably non-HA
person friendly.

Thanks,

Simon
