Unfortunately I don't run Homeseer. I presume this script is tied to HS
only? Will it read email from a specified folder in the inbox?

It is under 'other' 'free downloads by jon00' and called "Announce
unread e-mail from multiple accounts with e-mail remote control "
Now to your questions:
1) Yes, it is time limited to speak during the day only.
2) It does not have a spam filter but can be set to announce only
known email addresses from a filter list.
3) You can customise the speech output for known email addresses.
4) It is a Homeseer script/asp only.
