I didn't want the visible antennas, or the hassle of implementing cat5, so
went for DLAN instead.

85Mbps on the tin, but happily getting 65Mbps around my X10 riddled mains
ring.
Much more reliable than my Netgear 108Mbps wlan, and fast enough for mpg
and mp3 streaming.
