Just the token luddite response from me in the corner -=20

pah! wireless! Run yourself some CAT5 man!

In all seriousness though - a few CAT5 cable run around the place would
simplify things enormously, and prevent the inevitable "cooking your
internal organs" scare that's bound to emerge in a few years about
Wifi ;)

Subject: [ukha_d] Boosting wireless access point signal

Hi all,

I have 2 music players connected to my wireless access point, a Linksys
Wireless G broadband router and I am having some problems with one of the
units getting a strong signal.

I live in a high rise apartment and 3 of the partition walls for the 3
room=
s
appear to be re-inforced concrete walls which is obviously affecting the
signal strength that I am getting. Signal on the one in the bedroom is 63
but the living room is only 14 (Out of, I think, 64)

Anyone ever tried any of the higher gain antennas they sell for access
points? I can get the Linksys one for about =A325 but would like to know if
this will be worth it or not

Regards
Dave...
