Boosting wireless access point signal

  • Subject: Boosting wireless access point signal

Hi all,

I have 2 music players connected to my wireless access point, a Linksys
Wireless G broadband router and I am having some problems with one of
the units getting a strong signal.

I live in a high rise apartment and 3 of the partition walls for the 3
rooms appear to be re-inforced concrete walls which is obviously
affecting the signal strength that I am getting. Signal on the one in
the bedroom is 63 but the living room is only 14 (Out of, I think, 64)

Anyone ever tried any of the higher gain antennas they sell for access
points? I can get the Linksys one for about £25 but would like to know
if this will be worth it or not

Regards
Dave...
