Hi Chris
Go to a good HiFi specialist and have a listen to a decent 5.1 setup
'tis the only way to answer your question

5.1 ... 7.1 ... are they really worth it, I wonder ... how good can=20=20
the sound be, at an affordable price ... wouldn't it be better to put=20=20
the money into a better stereo set-up ? My only experience of 5.1=20=20
has been a short listen in a B&O showroom (small speakers on
sticks,=20=20
plus low-frequency unit, I think), and I've never heard 7.1 ... maybe=20=20
I should look into it more seriously ? Are they really more than a=20=20
gimmick, domestically ?
