I never worried much about THX certification, but some of the Denons seem
to
be certified. Or make that, the two top end models which aren't on the UK
website.

Thanks Stephen. The 3805 looks interesting, if I can find one. The 3806
looks great, but too rich for my blood, unfortunately! Do you know why
none
of the Denons are THX certified? It doesn't bother me, but it just seems
unusual considering the competitor products generally are at this price
point.

Hi Pete

The Pioneer 1015 isn't a bad choice. Have you looked at the Denon AVR-3806?
The 3806 is probably out of your price range but if you're not too fussy,
you may get the 3805 model as End-of-Line for a better price. But if it's
still too dear the 2106 is a 7 ch model with auto-setup, and costs less
than
the Pioneer 1015.
