RE: Advice on behind LCD connections etc
Hmm... not sure its fair to say that the media companies haven't learnt
this time around....
from what (admittedly little) I've read on the subject of HDCP, they *have*
anticipated that the keys will be cracked, and have allowed for this in the
protocol, by allowing the keys to be changed by the content providers at
will... I understand that the media can be used to distribute new keys to
the hardware.... presumably this could also be over the air, and thus (in
theory) Sky could enforce an update of the decryption keys in all your
HDCP-compliant hardware devices at the drop of a hat...
I reiterate that I am by no means an expert on this though, so I eagerly
await to be better informed by someone more knowledgeable than I....

Personally I'll just wait for the inevitable crack/modchip. The media
companies will never learn. Sigh.
