Put simply,
The Go range (Original, 300, 500, 700, and Rider) have permanent mounting
options for mounting (the unit is still removable)
The One doesn't, but does have a newer and better performing GPS chipset
(SIRF III)
Functionally the Go 300 (or go original) and One are very similar, albiet
for a few new features on the One.

take a look at www.pocketgps.co.uk

Subject: [ukha_d] [OT] Navigation....

Hi all,

I seem to remember this being discussed, but a quick archive search
hasn't been too successful...

My wife wants an in-car navigation thing for xmas (no jokes please!),
and i'm trying to make sure I get the right one.

I think the TomTom One has what she needs in terms of features - I
believe it does the usual mapping/route guidance, plus can have speed
camera locations added (?) (a must for me!), but i'm unclear if the
TomTom 300 is better, and if so how. Also does anyone have a view on
other options?

Thanks,

Keith
