RE: [OT] Measuring carpet...

I believe it's the length of the carpet x 3 for the stairs and I was told
(during my last carpet shopping trip) that you have to add another foot to
the total room size.

That's what I was told anyway.

Regards,

Jonathan

Subject: [ukha_d] [OT] Measuring carpet...

Hi,

Apologies for the OT post...

If there's anyone on this list who knows the ins and outs of how to
calculate the required amount of carpet given the actual size of the
room/stairs can they please contact me offlist. Think I've been had (i.e.
given twice as much carpet than I actually need) and want to make sure
before I start shouting the odds.

And, to make matters SOO much worse, the fitter has managed to stick
staples
through the 4 pressure mats that I had fitted on the stairs last night and
pulled the wiring on 3 of them...!!!

Thanks,
Andy.
