I've just installed a pair of the 10Mbps ones at my Dad's...

The installation was straightforward - just plugged them in and it worked!

The ones from shopmagenta are the same as the Solwise ones and come with
a patch cable and a utility for changing the default passwords on the
devices and it also measures the link speed (got 7.6Mbps which doesn't
seem too bad and as it's only for browsing the web it's doesn't need to
be faster)

For some reason the instructions state you shouldn't plug them into an
extension - any ideas why? They also wouldn't work when plugged into a
surge protected/filtered block (but no surprise there)

Cheers

Andy
