Nice use Frank - I did something similar myself!

I have VFD displays throughout the house which display the name and
number of anyone calling (as well as whether it's a business or personal
call) - I also use them to display the currently playing track.. And I
found an annoying side effect - quite often, a call will come in, (and
the CID info displays) then a second or so later, the track playing on
the home audio would change - obliterating the caller info, often before
anyone had seen it.

I added a global variable in xPLHal called "OSDSAFE", and added
an extra
action to the Caller ID Determinator - to set this variable to
"NO",
pause for 30 seconds, then set it back to "YES".

I then added as an extra condition on the Determinators which display
the Track info, a check that the value of "OSDSAFE" is
"YES" - simple
but effective enough that the guy that works with me commented on it!
