We use an adaptor that we make in house.
=20
Picture attached. I am not sure if pics are allowed in posts if they are
then you will see it.
=20
It is network cable in serial out. Means you can give any bit of kit (we
connect the payment systems we manufacture to the net with it) that has
a serial port an IP address. It also has 8 bits of I/O. IN/OUT
transistors not fitted on the one in the PIC.
=20
Can be set up as serial pass through to a phantom port or TCP/IP. Or
send an email if input is activated.
=20
We use the digiconnect ME which you can find details of on the web.

Long post sorry
Has anyone here deleloped a secure way of accessing data from the=20
barionet without using a server ? " ie direct connection to there=20
broadband router"
I bought a barionet about 12 months ago after reading about it prior=20
to Barix attending UKHA 2004 the build quality and feel of the=20
product is excellent + it interfaces with the 1-wire Dallas temp=20
sensors which I had been evaluating. Barix promise they are working=20
on security but I have waited over a year now with simple solution in=20
sight. Not much activity on the Barionet forum either
I am itching to get my new house controlled via the net starting to=20
think I should buy the new version 2 of Homeseer when its out, but=20
this would only work leaving my Media Centre PC on so its not ideal.
I have bought some z-wave items which I am happy with so maybe I=20
should go with Homeseer. Has anyone got homeseer running on a Media=20
Centre PC, if so does the PC suspend OK when not in use ?
I have been following the sales of IP Power 9212 (Aviosys)sold at=20=20
www.digidave.co.uk these have recently been going for less that =A350=20
on ebay, I know these units have been mentioned here before but I=20
found this write up toady on the net thats promising=20
