Just seen your post so apologies for the delay in responding.

Firstly, welcome to the group !

It will be possible to mount the screen in the location you describe,
however I suspect you'll need to make, or get made, a custom bracket
specifically for it. You'll need to check that the joists can take the
extra
weight of the plasma, but after that, something like two "A"
frames fixed
the joists along the long edge of the A, then the plasma fixed to the other
long edge via a standard bracket. The angle at the top of the A frame to be
whatever it needs to be to let the screen hang down vertically, and some
cross-bracing between the two A frames would also be a good idea. I've
probably not described that too well, if not, drop me a line and I'll send
you a sketch off-list.

I'm not convinced getting the screen to swing back out of the way is a good
idea. It makes the bracketry a whole lot more complicated, and ISTR that
the
plasmas should be kept vertical since the glass on the front is thin &
quite
fragile. Some heavy handed "putting away" could be an expensive
mistake.
