I did some deeper digging and all I can find out is that it's a very cheap
3D sensor.

I pretty sure that the 3D in the description is reffering to the circuit
packaging techniques used  and not that the sensor detects in 3 dimensions
though.  I'm guessing , but it looks like they are making electronic
switchgear with monitoring incorperated into the switch :-S
