Re: OT: Freeview PVR opinions

Saw the Fusion FVRT100 at a trade show (IBC) recently.
The demo looked good. Twin tuners and uses 7 day EPG.
They had blurb about FVRT200, but may not be out until middle of next
year.
Same as 100 but final spec "may" have larger disk plus external
disk
support (USB2??) for expansion of recording time and twin independent
outputs. (Ideal to support simul independent playback in two rooms)
Fusion are the people who started Pace and left to startup down the
road!
Although the person I spoke to said that they may have issues with
copyright protection when using external drives. (makes it easier to
rip decoded digital feed I guess)

Pace box is old and doesn't get good reviews. At same show they said
that they weren't developing a new one. (May or may not be true!!)

I'm keen to buy but may wait until next year for next gen models to
appear.
