With the 2Gb limit bug, the movie wouldn't play at all (length between 2Gb
and 4Gb was treated as negative).

As I understand it, in xPLRioNet the movie length is stored as a 32bit
number, so 4Gb is as large as it gets.  I suspect that a longer movie will
cause the length to wrap, so a 7Gb movie for example may only play the
first
3Gb.

Let us know if it plays the whole thing!
