to convert you movies for the MVP. I simply use DVDDecryptor to extract the
movie (usually takes 10-15 minutes) as a single .vob file. Then I process
it
vi mpg2vcr by simply changing the audio to 44khz. I do NOT touch the
picture. ie: original DVD quality picture, surround sound at 44 khz. The
mpg2vcr process typically takes as long as it would to copy the file to
another hard disk.

The trouble is that the file will be huge! Most of my movies come out
around 2Gb, your's I guess will be 6Gb+? I don't really need DVD quality
for the streamed version - I use the original disks with the
"decent" TV.

I think I might also run into problems with xPLRioNet if I have files
bigger
than 4Gb - currently I have an issue with any over 2Gb but that appears to
be a signed/unsigned issue and is fixable. Not sure about 4Gb+ though.

Also, how do you extract just the movie as a single VOB?
