Kevin,

Can you explain how you got the DigiGuide -> Tivo Recording working?

This is something I would like to use - it's much easier to browse and
schedule things using Digiguide.

Thanks,

Rob

Agreed.. My Tivo has been sat tirelessly just 'doing its thing' for a
year or so and I have only just revisited what can be done hack wise
nowadays and I am amazed ! Obviously the extraction and playback tools
are maturing well but I can also schedule recordings directly from
Digiguide (or from xAPTV with a script), DigiGuides reminders/ markers
can be recorded too. I also now use two Tivo's such that one hands off
recordings when they clash to a second unit. Even the recordings made
this way can be imported back to a single Now Playing interface and
played from the one machine. These tools even work (in slightly
different ways) both for subbed and unsubbed Tivos. There are nice
additions to the Tivo Web (Plus) interface for managing your hacks and
of course you can set up recordings remotely and I couldnt do without
EndPad which works to automaticaly softpad the start and end of my
programs on the fly such that things don't get chopped off. Tivo
integration within XBMC is improving too now with the ability to view TV

listings and play recordings and even watch 'live' TV (although I can't
get the latter feature to work).

My wish would be for a Tivo - just as it is but with an inbuilt
Freeview tuner and native digital recording. There are other units that
offer this this but not with the same success. Actually some of the
newer features of the next generation Tivo's in the USA would be nice
too (mp3/pics/usb/networking). A nicely integrated DVD recorder would be

great. I still hope Tivo consider an updated model back in the UK market

or that someone launches a comparable product..

K
