How do you use it to display caller ID? and with photos?

I have been using mine for a while now without lock up, but I do tend to
have it on stand by when not using it. I was planning to use it with Tivo
but last time I used tivo with a terestrial digi box I could only get it
to work with the RF and not scart has this been fixed now?
