For all of you with wavefinders sitting idle, this may be of interest.

It was posted on the dabusb group

FYI It uses the VIADAB software interface so it doesn't work with XP SP2
(It
does apparently work okkay with SP1)

Subject: Help with testing new software

Hi all,
I'm preparing to launch some new software for the Wavefinder but it hasn't
had much testing as yet, I was wondering if a few Wavefinder users are
interested in helping test it ahead of a formal release.

Here is a summary of the currently active features for the DAB features:
- Web based user interface
- Can stream multiple radio stations over a network concurrently (providing
they are on the same multiplex)
- If streaming to Winamp (or other compatible clients) the DLS text will be
displayed
- Ability to display the EPG, but as yet not linked into the data component

The system does require you to be running PHP with a compatible web server
(tested on Apache), but this is easy to set up using PHP Home. Also it is a
little tricky to set up but I can give full guidance on that until I get
around to make that process easier.

The system isn't pretty at the moment and needs a lot of tweaking but it is
new software and the DLS streaming is a first I believe.

If you want a little look at what the system looks like just visit
http://www.ssonic.co.uk/ and click
the M-Power link on the menu on the left
side of the page and you can see the screenshots for the DAB features
amongst others.

If your interested just reply to this post or e-mail me doug@xxxxxxx

Thanks,
Douglas Gore
