On a lot of head-units, the aux in is indeed line level audio - the problem
is
switching the head-unit into aux-in mode, for which the manufacturer's
would
like to sell you an expensive widget. Fortunately many public domain
alternatives exist!

Well, given that this will be my fourth attempt at powering the carputer,
it
would in fact have been cheaper to just import the opus from the states
(linitx didn't do it at the time), but you live and learn ;)
