When you connect to the asterisk console with :
asterisk -r
try doing:
set verbose 9
and you'll get more info. Incidentally, when did you checkout asterisk from
CVS?
do a
show version
from the * cli.. you should get something like
Asterisk CVS-HEAD-XX/YY/ZZ-13:52:08 built by root@XXXXXXX on a XXXX running
Linux
You can also try dialing 10001 which is a voicemail box @ fwd. You should
hear a voice (at which point you can
hang up) if incoming audio is correct...
