Mark was talking about providing the function for detecting the polarity
reversal so this may well happen sometime soon....

I guess it's a case of waiting and seeing for the moment... the patch is
only a few days old so will probably mature fairly quickly.. you can
always offer feedbak on it to try to get this implemented quicker...
