Yep. Time signal, and I think long wave (world service?) broadcasts. Plus a
bunch of stuff that's classified. Allegedly :-)
It's no wonder I get lousy TV and radio reception here in Rugby! (That
includes no Freeview - at least in my road...)
Apparently the largest masts are now redundant, and are due to come down
soon; there's been a lot of discussion as to whether the land is
"Brownfield" and could be redeveloped.
