RE: OT Digital Camera Advice
I like my Sony DSC-V1
(http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00009EOWS/202-9107502-8948623)
,
as I needed a robust camera that had some of the advanced manual features
and a decent zoom/lens. The low-light performance was also important, as
my
SWMBO was getting fed up of taking blurry indoor photo's with our old Fuji.
The laser-assisted focusing is fun, too ;-)
As other have said, it probably difficult to buy a bad digital camera these
days as long as you stick to the main brands.

Subject: [ukha_d] OT Digital Camera Advice
Hi all,
I am looking for a digital camera to take on holiday with me next week,
the main criteria are small and robust as it will need to go in the
pocket of my ski jacket and I'm not that good a skier lol
So far have a short list of
Sony Cybershot P12 (P10 with an extra battery and carry case)
Cannon Powershot S45
Cannon Powershot S50
OR
Sony T1 which I really like the look of but not sure on the image
quality in such a compact form factor
At minute I am almost convinced to go with the P12 as I will be able to
reuse memory sticks I have for my digital video camera but would like to
hear people's opinions of it.
Is there something that should be on my shortlist that I have missed??
Regards
Paul
