What about:

various Canon Ixus models
Pentax Optio S40 (and the newer version I can't remember the model
number of. S44?)
the Casio clone of the Pentax.

The Sony has a cunning trick of hiding the zoom mechanism inside the
case, perpendicular to the normal lens orientation. This could actually
mean there's more space to get the optics "right". I've not seen
any
reports of the quality yet though.
