LMFAO! :D :D :D

He didn't think *that* one through then! At least if he could get
wireless LAN to work in openspace areas he shouldn't have to worry about
Dean sitting in his car outside scanning his LAN ;->

Like you say, some form of car kit contraption is probably the most
likely bet.... I think this type of problem has been mentioned before,
have a look on www.ukha-archive.com - I don't remember any blindingly
obvious solutions, short of having the mobile set to forward to house
phone on not available.
