Re: Slim MP3 - what amp and speakers for Kitchen

I wondered over this for a while and came up with a couple of options.

First one... I use the Acoustic Energy Aego 2 speakers for my PC and
for the size they are great at a price which is well below other
(e.g. Bose) micro speaker systems. Drawback of this setup is that it
still has a subwoofer (which integrates the amp) as a component. I'd
still consider it in a kitchen if you could just place the sub on top
of a wall cupboard (it's easily small enough on it's side not to be
seen).

Second option (may seem a bit strange this one) is the Tivoli Radio.
The original (Tivoli One) is mono but is very small has an excellent
radio and sounds surprisingly good for mono. I use this in the
kitchen and am intending to add the Slim MP3 to this as it has an aux
input. If you really must have stereo there is now a stereo version
of the Tivoli but it costs a bit more!

Regards

Richard
