Mounting a PDA in the dash shouldn't be too tricky with the help of a
Dremel. Depends how curvy your dash is though! As for interfacing to a
hard disk, this isn't as tricky as it sounds. Get hold of a PDA that takes
Compact Flash. Compact Flash is an IDE interface, the same as an IDE hard
disk. Get an old Compact Flash card, cut the traces to the connector, and
solder on a standard IDE cable. Cut a hole in the top of the card to get
the cable out, and plug in a hard disk of your choosing. Then, all you
need is a 5v power adapter to get power to the disk. Bob's yer uncle!

Cheers,
Andy (done the other way round before, but this is a new one)
