I've had my two cameras up and running for a couple of weeks now. I've been
trialling the CamSurveillance software on one PC and the Supervision Cam
software on another. Both seem to work well although I think I'm siding on
the latter. However I noticed that when browsing around on
http://rolec.dyndns.info:156
the size of captured images are much larger on
your setup than on mine. Also once saved they can be blown up reasonably
well and still get a clear image.

Both the CamSurveillance and Supervision Cam images are tiny - so much so
that they would be useless (whether printed or on screen) in identifying
any
intruder. The images using the built-in Mv1000 web pages are much larger
(but not captured by motion detection). Do you know if the image size is a
limitation of the s/w or the cameras? As far as I can see my cams states
they do 500x582 pixels.

Hi Malcolm.

We were very happy with our MV1000, but there are two real advantages with
the Geovision and a dedicated PC.

1. We have 10 simultaneous users in the building - every PC has a little
HTML App showing the CCTV images on them so we can see who's at the front
or
stores door etc. - The MV couldnt handle 10 uers it just ground to a halt.

2. I wanted the server to be either available via VPN or like the Geovision
at present available over the net - I never got the MV to do it - i could
access the pages, but it would just time out without loading bugger all. I
gave it up in the end. Though i know there are users that have successfully
acheived this.

Dean.
