One for the internet HA shoppers..

I noticed on my credit card company web site (MBNA) that they are now
offering 'virtual' credit card numbers - basically you can ask for a
temporary credit card number and it issues one that you set your own limit
on and duration for which it is valid - it is also only useable by one
merchant. This debits back to your normal account. The intention is to
reduce fraud and encourage usage on the internet - quite a nice idea. You
can have an unlimited number of such virtual cards ... So I tried it - only
currently available on US issued cards :-(

Does anyone know of a credit card company offering such a feature in the UK
? - I understand in the US that MBNA "ShopSafe", American Express
"Private
Payments" and CitiBank "Virtual Account" offer these.
