i had the exact same problem

my dongle had a clear blue plastic lid, on a curvy plastic base.. i think
its a common cheapy one.

i found some drivers for another dongle that used the same bluetooth chip,
drop me a line with the model of the one you have, and the make of the
drivers and i'll see if i have something.


I would however recommend from a few bad experiances, if you pay sub £50
for a dongle, they tend to be pretty crap :(

I hear the TDK ones are the best, but i think it all comes down to the
drivers you have..
