Re: [OT] Noise cancelling headphones
I have a pair of the Bose 2 (the latest ones) and previously had the=20
1st from Bose. There are tons of other types available and my guess=20
is anything from =A3100 upwards gives fine quality.
I changed from the old Bose ($199 + state tax now) to new ($299 +=20
tax) because they work a bit better, and also don't have the little=20
control box on a separate wire (in series with the feed from the=20
airplane system). The box is only small, but it's a bit of a pain.=20=20
The new ones can run completely without any cables (ie no sound=20
input) and the noise cancelling they do is excellent. They've=20
revolutionised travel for me as the combination of noise reduction=20
(low frequencies) and sound quality is great. I haven't found a pair=20
to match these from standard offerings in the airlines I travel on.=20=20
I don't know how much they cost in the UK. I bought both of mine in=20
the US.
