You know, I was hoping discussion would come to DMX512 for the home... I

ve been looking at C-Bus after Doogie's demonstration at HA Scotland, but

just can't get away from the price being basically exploitative.

I can wholly accept dimmer packs being expensive, but =A380 for a basic
swi=
tch.. that's painful, and seems out of all proportion to the benefits.

DMX on the other hand... a totally open protocol, so bodgers like myself
ca=
n have a play with cool little PIC toys, and there are dozens (if not
hundr=
eds) of manufacturers building the stuff, and much, much easier to get
your=
hands on without being a bona-fide installer.

Watching this with interest - didn't someone make a general DMX512
controll=
er for the Kinetic Cove lights?
