How long are you giving it?

One of the problems I found with the Courier IMAP server (which is the one
I
use) is that, on starting, OE seems to want to synchronise the ENTIRE
folder
structure before it will render ANYTHING in the inbox. The first time I did
this, it took about 7 minutes... and I was well into looking up what I'd
done wrong when suddenly it all appeared.

The fact that OE can see the IMAP folders is a good sign :-)
