Hi Harry,
I use the 1-wire weather station myself with a microcontroller interfacing
the wind and direction sensor. This then re-transmits the data via CAN bus
to another module with pressure and a display etc. I also managed to get
one
of the original Dallas rain gauges and modified this for CAN bus too.
All in all, it has been ultra reliable but I can not comment on the PC
software as I use my own for this.
Aag are very good and get a great write up on the various forums etc.
Postal
change is a bit high, but there is someone in the UK selling them too.
Can't
recall any names at present but will post when I remember unless someone
else does it before me.!!
Regards
Dave...

Subject: [ukha_d] 1-wire weather station
Since recent I use Weather Display software for weather information, in
combination with my Homevison home automation controller.
I like to insert local weather information also and therefor I intend to
buy
and use the 1 wire weather station of aagelectronica:
http://www.aagelectronica.com
for windspeed and -direction measurement
over
a 1-wire configuration (CAT5) to the USB port of a PC.
Based on that I intend to periodically update my Homevison controller also
with this weather data. The data is used for controlling blinds (windforce
alert) and information on TV screen.
Questions:
- Who knows, tried or uses this 1-wire weatherstation and its
sensors?
- Positive experience?
- Suggestions for setting it up simple and reliable / the
software?
With many thanks,
Harry hendriks
