Re: Led lights

Have tried both and they have the same effect - the appliance module maybe
appears a bit less bright when turned off although it comes with the
'click' on change of status which is not ideal as the LED's are to light
up an en suite when motion is detected. The alternative is to put the light
on which not only wakes SWMBO but also starts the fan (yeh I know I could
disable that but that is not always desirable!!)

The lamp modules allow a trickle current even when off - it's the way they
work.

Try an appliance module as this kills the current via a relay. Only the
local control to then worry about (turning back on by themselves a second
or so after turning them off). Since they have a transformer this may or
may not be a problem.

Subject: [ukha_d] Led lights

Hi,

Just bought an LED kit

http://www.micromark.co.uk/epages/micromark.storefront/402275cb00ad3b8427400a020f0205cf/Product/View/MM18194?CatNo=91
to have a play (no electronics knowledge so couldn't go down the 'home
grown' route!).

I want to control via X10 (AM12 or LM12 prefererably - just on or off, no
dimming) but cannot get the LED's to go out (they are either on or
dimmed).
Can any of you electronics gurus explain please??

John
