Cracking can take a ridiculous amount of time, especially if you use
reasonably strong passwords with symbols as well as alphanumerics. Not to
mention that I have seen a full characters set crack run for seven or eight
days and still not return the admin password!

The emergency boot disk I posted allows you to open up the SAM, and reset
the password of a single user either to your choice, or to blank.

It's all down to whether you just want access to the machine, or actually
want to know what the password was!
