RE: [OT] bluetooth card

What about a 3Com Bluetooth PC Card with XJack:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00008W55P/026-8695019-2626007

I bought one of these a couple of years back to do a similar job, drivers
were crap and I eventually gave up, and bought a Vaio laptop with built in
BT.

I presume their drivers will have been updated by now, possibly Win XP SP2
may recognise it as well. What you must ensure is the BT adapter supports
the HID profile if you want to use a BT mouse.

If I get the chance I will dig out my old card and see if I can get it
working with new drivers.

Subject: [ukha_d] [OT] bluetooth card

Hey chaps, can anyone help with this one...

I'm looking for a Bluetooth adapter for my new laptop. I plan to leave

it in this new laptop *permanently* and use it for a Bluetooth mouse,

and possibly a headset for voip use etc... so I want one that does not

stick out of the body of the machine AT ALL...

I have a spare Cardbus/PCMCIA slot, and a spare Memory stick/MMC/SD

slot.

I would like a Bluetooth adapter that will fit totally inside either of

these available slots.... - I.E. therefore NOT a USB one....

Any recommendations?

TIA

Paul G.
