Disk Imaging

All

I need to pick your collective brains. We have a lot (thousands) of PCs
that need their HDs swapping for a new one. The PC's are up to 2 yrs old,
so most will have USB2, but some will not. What would you suggest as being
the best way to image the drive?

I'm working on the assumption of a USB2 caddy, with a USB2->IDE adaptor
for
the older PCs, using Ghost as the utility. The total transfer will
typically be around 8-10MB. The one minor snag is that we need to avoid
powering down the existing HDs, though soft reboots are fine. We're
looking
for the quickest, most idiot-proof way of doing this. Am I working along
the
right lines?

Thanks

Pete
