Thanks Mark, I think you provided the questions/answers on the
UKHA_Networking ?

I think the basic techy questions should do the trick, what are the
manager-type questions >

Cheers
Martin

Techy questions or manager-type questions?

Basic techy questions:

- What's the difference between POP3 and SMTP

Answer: POP3 is a mailbox standard. SMTP is a mail storage transfer
standard.

- A PC has the IP address 10.14.17.21, a router to the outside world
has internal IP address 10.14.16.1. Which of the following subnet
masks will allow the PC to connect directly to the router (assume the
router and the PC have the same mask)

A: 255.255.0.0
B: 255.255.255.0
C: 255.255.128.0
D: 255.255.240.0

Answer: A, C, D

- Which of the following is NOT a valid subnet mask under CIDR

A: 255.255.255.128
B: 255.255.255.240
C: 255.255.255.0
D: 255.255.255.242

- Answer: D (for bonus credit, ask him to demonstrate why not - the
quick way is to convert the four into binary, and demonstrate that
all except D are a contiguous block of 1s followed by a contiguous
block of 0s)

Regards,

Mark
