In fact no you don't:



X10 lighting - well LD11's don't come back on after power failure :-)

Door bell - Comfort door bell doesn't ring after power failure :-)

Neighbours alarms don't come on because they've seen yours and have also
all installed Comfort ;)

Mobile can be set not to ring in 'night mode'



Of course you'd have to ditch your kit and install some decent stuff!

Oh right, so if I install Comfort, then I can have:
- My lights coming on
- My door bell ringing
- My neighbours alarms all going off
- And them my bloody mobile rings.

All at 2am - nice ;)
