ARGH

I put our projector in the bedroom "to keep it safe" whilst at
UKHA2003...
and now get home to find out that it's not starting.. I get a "tick
tick
tick" like a halogen starter not firing, and a flickering light for a
second
or so...

Now, I'll get the projector checked (in case the bulb is okay, but the
starting mechanism is dead) but assuming it's shell-out time, does anyone
have a cheaper supplier of lamps?

I had the first (£400) quote, and almost croaked on the spot... the best I
have now is £279 (and I don't know if that's including vat)

Desperately depressing, as this lamp only had a few hundred hours on it,
and
was supposed to get a good 3K hours :

Ian.
