It has a max232 chip on board to pass on to a pc as well...I think i got
the circuit from the link below...i did some small change to it but cant
remember exactly what it was..

Sounds very interesting!

I take it it would be straightforward to modify the program to output to a
max232 and use something like Dan's program to monitor the traffic?
