I screwed 2 lengths 2by2 to the wall, then screwed my patch panel to
that. I also looked at adding some extra wood to the roof braces to
create a rack that way, but I moved out instead.

I also drilled some holes in the base of a desktop PC & screwed that to
the wall in the loft to be my firewall, but it never got commisioned.
