Hi Adrian,

Either stretch your arm at www.stretchingarms.com ;) or take a look into
the
following:

1 x TM13U-AH ALL HOUSE CODE X10 RF Radio Receiver and X10 Appliance Module
http://www.letsautomate.com/10680.cfm
1 x KR19E RF 6 Button Keyfob
http://www.letsautomate.com/10310.cfm

Put the TM13U where you cant reach, plug something in (up to 5amps), and
set
it to A on the dial. Then program up your KR19E remote (quick and easy few
steps) and you're up and running turning that socket on/off.
