It's not PCMCIA.  It's a Sky proprietary connector that is just called
a "High Speed Digital Interface" in the Service Manual.  The
pin-outs
are similar but several signals that a PCMCIA card requires are missing.

The only successful use for this connector that I am aware of is to
extract an unencrypted transport stream.

The card will be powered but not initialised.  There's nothing it can
usefully do.
